Ron Perry


Ron, a SONGS Music Publishing partner, has been with SONGS since the company’s founding in 2004, and has built the business with Founder and CEO, Matt Pincus. In his capacity as President, Ron manages the company’s contemporary acquisitions and song-plugging staff, and has been responsible for all of the company’s early frontline signings (Including the Weeknd, Lorde, Diplo and DJ Mustard), writer contract negotiations, song-plugging activities, and artist co-writes since SONGS was founded. Ron also manages the company’s Joint Ventures. 

In 2013, as one of only 5 music executives (the rest being writers and producers), Ron was named as one of music's Top 35 Hitmakers according to The Hollywood Reporter. The selection was based on single sales, album sales, Grammy nominations and chart positions achieved. 

Also in 2013, 2014, & 2015 he was again honored in Billboard's "Top 40 Under 40" issues. 

In 2016, Ron was selected by Billboard as one of the Industry’s Top Hitmakers as well as in the magazine’s Top A&R Power Players for his role in introducing the Weeknd to Daft Punk.
