"We the People..." by A Tribe Called Quest (SONGS writer Q-Tip) closed out the season finale, playing as everyone gathers together in the lounge of Armstrong Parker House to watch Defamation.

SONGS Writers Earn 17 Grammy Nominations
SONGS Writers Earn 17 Grammy Nominations
SONGS Music Publishing songwriters earned a total of 17 GRAMMY®   Nominations for their contributions to some of the year's most successful releases.  The GRAMMY®  nominations were announced this morning in New York City.
 
The Weeknd received a total of nine award nominations in some of the GRAMMY's heaviest categories, including Record of the Year for "Can't Feel My Face," and Album of the Year for Beauty Behind the Madness.
 
Diplo, besides being nominated for two GRAMMYs for his work alongside Skrillex in Jack Ü, received a nomination in the prestigious Producer of the Year category.
 
Other SONGS writers awarded nominations this morning include Lorde for her work on Disclosure's album Caracal, Q-Tip for his contributions to The Chemical Brothers track "Go," Marsha Ambrosius for her work on Dr. Dre's Compton which was nominated in the Best Rap Album category and Trinidad James for his contribution to "Uptown Funk."
 
"SONGS Music Publishing is a proud and humbled company today," stated SONGS Music Publishing Founder and CEO Matt Pincus. "Seeing The Weeknd, Diplo, and many other of our artists garner multi-category Grammy nominations is like watching the future of music unfold.  February 15 is going to be quite a night."
